Two injured in shoot out in Sioux City

April 13, 2004 By admin

Law officers traded shots with a suspect in northwest Iowa last night. Two Woodbury County Sheriff’s deputies were trying to serve papers at a Sioux City apartment. A locksmith was brought along and went to work on the door. When it opened, someone inside the apartment shot the locksmith. Deputies returned fire and hit the gunman. Both the gunman and the locksmith were undergoing treatment though neither one had injuries that were considered life-threatening. No names were released.
