The Iowa Court of Appeals has upheld the robbery conviction of a man found guilty of robbing a Cedar Rapids convenience store three years ago — a man who has the same name as a country music star. Willie Nelson Miller, Junior was found guilty by a jury after two of the women who worked at the convenience store identified him because they could see his gold tooth and mustache through the ski mask he was wearing. His D-N-A was also found on a ski mask and some clothing found outside the store after the robbery. Miller had appealed his conviction, partly because of complaints about his lawyer, but the Iowa Court of Appeals has rejected that and all of Miller’s other arguments and upheld his conviction.
