The Drake softball team opens the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament tomorrow morning against Wichita State. He says they think the tournament is going to be wide open. Regular season champ Southern Illinois is hosting the tournament but history is not on the side of the home team. No host school has ever won the tournament. Southern Illinois is the host team and they’re the top seed.Drake is making its first appearance at the Valley tournament since 1998.
