After winning the decathlon at the Drake Relays Travis Geopfert will try to help the UNI men’s track squad accomplish a rare feat. Geopfert is an assistant coach for a Panther squad that won the Missouri Valley cross country and indoor track championships and will try to add the outdoor title this weekend at Illinois State. The last time it happened was Southern Illinois back in 1991. UNI is the favorite but Geopfert knows they are a marked team. Today’s competition begins with the hammer throw this morning.
