A Des Moines man is charged with burglary and theft after two banks were ransacked in the western Iowa town of Schleswig.Thirty-six year old Phillip Knight is jailed in Crawford County after allegedly breaking into the United Bank of Iowa branch office and the Bank Iowa ATM facility on May 9th. Knight was arrested in the Des Moines area and taken to Crawford County to be charged. If convicted, Knight could face five years in prison on the burglary charge and ten year on the theft charge, in addition to fines.
