Man dies after homemade fireworks explode

A northwest Iowa man is dead following a home explosion fueled by fireworks. The Lyon County Sheriff says 52-year-old Byron Kaiser of George was making the fireworks when the materials exploded. The explosion blew the windows out of his home. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
