New London Tigers 13-0

June 17, 2004 By admin

Just two years ago New London was in the middle of a baseball season it would finish with four victories. The Tigers have come a long way since then as they stand 13-0 and second ranked in class 1A heading into tonight’s matchup with Cardinal of Eldon. New London coach Mark Chiri says he is not sure if the ranking is justified but does say the Tigers will get plenty of competition in southeast Iowa. Pitching depth is a strength. Eight of the nine players on the field can pitch.Chiri says while the season to this point has been outstanding the Tigers cannot forget what got them to this point.
