The Bureau-Cats play The Starlight

July 16, 2004 By admin

A blues-rock band made up mostly of Scott County employees will take the stage tonight (Friday) at the Starlight Ballroom in Davenport. The band, The Bureau-Cats, will feature a special guest — former Iowa Supreme Court Justice Linda Neuman. While she used to play the cello, Neuman says she’ll sing and play the six-string with the band. The syndicated T-V show “Inside Edition” will be on hand to do a story on Neuman’s debut with the Bureau-cats. Neuman, now a Quad City attorney, jokes about the national exposure. She says it must’ve been a slow news day for the program’s producers to decide on taping her performance. Tickets for the show are $5 and will be available at the door. Some of the money raised will go to a scholarship fund.
