An annual celebration in the western Iowa town of Atlantic, which calls itself the “Coca-Cola capitol of Iowa,” will be featured tonight (Monday) on cable T-V’s Food Network. The segment will be featured during the debut of a new program called “The Life of…,” and the Atlantic episode will be entitled “The Life of…Coke.” The network didn’t actually do any filming in the community. Instead, they relied on locals to help put the program together. Christina Simonton with the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce says the owner of the local Coca-Cola bottling company, Kirk Tyler, played a big role in the production. The producers used videotape Tyler put together to compile the segment that will air tonight. The actual Coca-Cola Days celebration will be held in Atlantic from September 24th through the 26th. The show is scheduled to air at 10 P.M. and will be repeated at least once this week.
