Boy found after Amber Alert is issued

July 19, 2004 By admin

A young boy was quickly found yesterday after an Amber Alert was issued. A two-and-a-half year old boy was abducted by his father, and the Amber Alert went out early Sunday morning. Authorities say 22-year-old Scott Peters abducted his son, Wyatt. The boy and father were located in Ottumwa at about six A.M. — a couple of hours after the Amber Alert had been issued. Wayne County authorities say Peters faces kidnapping and domestic assault charges. He’s being held in the Wayne County Jail.
