Westgate man turns himself in after escaping patrol car

July 20, 2004 By admin

A Westgate man who escaped from a patrol car has turned himself in, and police are now trying to determine how he got away. 41-year-old Kent Rueber and 55-year-old Connie McNeese were arrested Friday night at rural Westgate home after police executed a search warrant. Officers found ingredients to make meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and prescription drugs. Rueber had been handcuffed and somehow escaped from the patrol car and was the subject of a weekend manhunt. Rueber turned himself in Monday. He now faces drug and escape charges.
