Waterloo and Madison fight for first place in Northwoods League South Division

July 26, 2004 By admin

Sole possession of first place in the Northwoods League South Division will be on the line tonight as Waterloo hosts Madison this evening. The Bucks and the Mallards both enter tonight’s game with a 13-5 record. The Bucks were swept in a two-game series at Madison last week but Waterloo manager Andy Haines is looking for his team to carry some momentum from their weekend sweep over Mankato into tonight’s important series.Kevin Fox will get the start on the mound tonight for Waterloo. Fox is 1-0 with a 5.11 ERA and knows he needs a good outing. Fox says they are a competitive fast team and they just need to play smart baseball against them.
