Forest City woman playing in U-S Open

Kendra Hanson of Forest City will play a second round today in the U.S. Womens Open in Erie, Pennsylvania. The 18-year-old became an alternate last month in a Minnesota qualifyer, giving her one of the few spots from the regional contest. “It’s a very, very challenging golf course,” Hanson said after her first round. Kendra Hanson will attend Iowa State University this fall.
