Iowa State defensive back Ellis Hobbs is determined to end his career on a positive note. The Texas native was part of bowl teams his first two years before the Cyclones slumped to a 2-10 mark in 2003. He says last year wasn’t right in the way things played out on the field.Hobbs says when he came to Iowa State the Cyclones were winners and he would like to leave the same way. He says he knows what it is to win and to go to bowl games and he says a lot of the new guys don’t understand the meaning of a big win. He says he and a lot of the upperclassmen feel they cheated them, and want to leave with a good taste in their mouth. The Cyclones open the season September fourth against UNI.
