Waterloo police charge man in brother’s death

September 2, 2004 By admin

Waterloo police have filed charges in a month-old murder case. Officials filed a first-degree murder charge against 51-year-old Anthony Manning late Wednesday afternoon. Manning is accused of killing his younger brother — 45-year-old Randy Manning — on July 27th. Officers responding to a home the brothers shared discovered the younger Manning’s body and arrested Anthony Manning on unrelated charges a short time later. An autopsy revealed Randy Manning died of stab wounds to the upper torso. Anthony Manning has been in jail since the death on charges of probation violation and possessing a firearm as a felon. His bond has been increased from 100-thousand to 500-thousand dollars.
