A two-state study shows a Mississippi River bridge has some time left. Iowa Department of Transportation planner Rob Larsen says the bridge in Lansing still has a lot of useful life left. The Iowa and Wisconsin transportation departments recently cosponsored a study of the bridge that was built in 1930. Larsen says it’s hard to tell how long the bridge will last, but they’ll need to establish a regular maintenance plan. The bridge handles about 22-hundred vehicles a day.
