Waterloo names new manager

October 5, 2004 By admin

Jason Shockey has been named the new manager for the Waterloo Bucks baseball team. The 24-year old Shockey was an assistant for the Bucks last season and he’s currently in his second year as an assistant coach at Iowa Western Community College. Shockey will replace Andy Haines who resigned after two years to pursue a head coaching job at the NCAA ranks. He says he’s excited and real appreciative of the opportunity. Shockey says his style as manager will be very aggressive and try to put as much pressure as possible on teams.
