Marcus girl dies in accident

October 6, 2004 By admin

A Marcus girl died and two others were injured in a traffic accident last night (Tuesday) five miles east of Remsen. The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department says a farm tractor pulling two wagons turned left as 38-year-old Rachelle Brownmiller began to pass the farm equipment on state highway three. She lost control, her car rolled several times, and her daughter, nine-year-old Amber Brownmiller, died from injuries after she was thrown from the car. The woman’s son, 11-year-old Lee Brownmiller, is in good condition at a Sioux City hospital. Rachelle Brownmiller was treated and released. The driver of the tractor was not injured.
