Authorities in Western Iowa are looking for two young girls who haven’t been seen since Monday. Atlantic Police say 13-year Mikel Ann Martens and 14-year old Natosha Lynn Hoyt disappeared after school let out Monday and they’ve put out a “missing child alert” that isn’t an Amber Alert but asks for help. The girls were seen leaving the Atlantic Middle School together, and have since been spotted in Corning, Des Moines and Omaha. Police say the girls were not abducted, but apparently ran away from home. Neither of the teens has any serious medical conditions, but Mikel is described in the release as legally blind and dependent on contacts or glasses. She’s described as having blonde hair and brown eyes, five-feet six-inches tall, and weighing 115-pounds. Natosha is five-feet five inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. She weighs about 110-pounds. If you think you’ve seen either of the teens, call the Atlantic Police Department.
