Parents are asking administrators at a northwestern Iowa school why a bus full of their schoolkids sat unattended for almost half an hour yesterday. The Corwith-Wesley-Luverne School District schoolbus was left unattended with 45 students on board for 25 minutes Thursday morning. Superintendent Al Carr says it was “a major foul-up” between a couple of bus drivers. The bus was left unattended at the church of St. Benedict and Carr says a “guardian angel” was watching over the students. A passerby saw what was going on, stopped and gathered up the students and called authorities. Carr says he and the principal spent the rest of the day doing damage control, and adds every effort will be made to see it doesn’t happen again.
