Edwards’ daughter disagrees with dad on gay marriage

October 19, 2004 By admin

The daughter of democrat Vice presidential nominee John Edwards spoke at a Dubuque coffee house Monday and said she and her dad don’t agree on everything. Cate Edwards says she supports homosexuals being allowed to unite in marriage, but her father doesn’t. Cate Edwards says she talked to her dad about it and they disagree on the issue as he said “the reason that we disagree is that Cate, we’re just not ready.” She told the crowd 537 votes made the difference in the last election, which she compared with a college dormitory.
