It’s another big day, politically, in Iowa. Polls show the presidential race in Iowa is still too close to call, and Iowa’s seven votes in the Electoral College are up for grabs. That means the principal players in the election of 2004 continue to campaign, personally, for Iowans’ votes, and today, President Bush and John Kerry will both be in Iowa at the same time. They won’t be in the same city like they were in August when they both visited Davenport at the same time, though. Kerry arrived in Iowa last night and aides say he’ll deliver a major speech on national security to a crowd in downtown Waterloo later this morning. President Bush is scheduled to land in Iowa later this morning, then speak at a rally in Mason City at about 10 o’clock.
