Morningside quarterback Craig Fobbe has been named the N-A-I-A national offensive player of the week. Fobbe completed 22 of 32 passes for a career-high 337 yards and four touchdowns in the Mustang’s 38-7 victory over Doane College. Morningside coach Steve Ryan says Fobbe has been the cornerstone of their offense and has run things very well. He says Fobbe’s leadership has been a key in their 5-1 start, as he says the team believes he can lead them down the field at any point in the game.Morningside takes a number-17 ranking nationally in the stretch run of the season. He says this week’s game will be tough, but he says 5-1 is a good position to be in.
