A single-vehicle rollover accident in Monona County on Sunday claimed the life of a northwest Iowa man. The Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Tyler Johnson of Battle Creek lost control of his car near Mapleton, went into a ditch and rolled several times. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, 24-year-old Jary Hupke, also of Battle Creek, was taken to a Sioux City hospital.
