Council Bluffs holds early Veteran’s Day parade

November 6, 2004 By admin

Veteran’s Day is next week, but there’s a parade today. The annual event in Council Bluffs will begin at eleven this morning, proceeding from First and Broadway on west and southward through town. After the parade, which is sponsored by the Bluffs Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 798, they’ll raise the POW-MIA flag at Veterans Plaza in remembrance of captured and missing soldiers from all wars and conflicts. From one to five P.M. there’s an annual “Celebration of Veterans” get-together at the local Eagles Club. Veterans Day is Thursday November 11th.
