Buena Vista’s goal is simple, win and get in

November 10, 2004 By admin

Buena Vista’s playoff fate is in its own hands as the Iowa Conference season comes to an end. B-V, Coe and Wartburg all share the league lead with 5-2 marks but the Beavers can earn the playoff bid this Saturday at home against Coe. Buena Vista coach Steve Osterberger says you can’t ask for any better scenario than to be able to control your own destiny. For the Kohawks to make the playoffs they need a win and a Wartburg loss to Dubuque. B-V is the only team that does not need help, as he says if they win they’re in and this is their playoff week. After a quick start the Beavers have lost two of their last three and Osterberger says they will need to slow down an explosive Coe offense to win the title.
