Woodbury County schools back in session after lockdown

November 11, 2004 By admin

Things are back to normal at four schools in Woodbury County after they were put under wraps Wednesday. The schools were locked down after a report of a home invasion in rural Salix. The Woodbury County Sheriff contacted the schools after a man entered a home in a family custody dispute. Thomas Cooper, the superintendent of the Woodbury Central Community school district in Moville, says the schools were asked to go into lock down mode as there was someone in the area that might be dangerous. The other schools involved were Westwood Community in Sloan, Sergeant Bluff Lutton, and the Sioux City West middle school.
