A 50-year-old Knoxville man will spend the rest of his life in prison after being sentenced for drug crimes. Ronald Lincoln Bachman of Knoxville was sentenced yesterday to life in a federal prison. The judge tacked on an additional five years and ordered Bachman to pay seven-hundred dollars into an account that makes grants to crime victims. Bachman was accused earlier this year of making, possessing and selling methamphetamine. Agents searched his home in March and found about a pound of meth, plus all the ingredients to make more of the illegal drug. Bachman went on trial in August, and a jury convicted him on the charges. Prosecutors contend Bachman sold meth in the Knoxville, Indianola and Des Moines areas.
