Drake thankful for PFL title

The Drake Bulldogs are celebrating their first Pioneer League Football title since 2000. The Bulldogs won at Morehead State 20-17 last Saturday in the PFL championship game.Bulldog coach Rob Ashadmits he was not thinking about a championship when his team opened the season 1-2. He says it was an unbelieveable experience to have the trophy award presentation on the field and see the look on the faces of his players. Ash says the run started and ended with Moorehead State, which he says is kind of ironic.Ash says there are always holes to fill but he feels good about the kind of team he will have coming back. Drake finished the season 9-2.
