Blencoe man charged with tipping off buddy to drug bust

December 1, 2004 By admin

A western Iowa man is headed to jail for tipping off a buddy who was about to be busted for drugs. A Monona County man who served on a federal grand jury is sentenced to ten days in jail and three years probation for violating secrecy rules. 29-year-old Jeremy Cameron of Blencoe pleaded guilty to a charge of contempt of court. Cameron had a long-time family friend who was the target of a drug investigation who Cameron allegedly told about the grand jury’s findings and other secret information. That person has left the area, whereabouts unknown.
