Drake coach Tom Davis is hoping for better guard play as the Bulldogs get set for a visit to Colorado State.Drake is 1-2 after a 91-75 loss to Iowa earlier this week. A bright spot has been the play of sophomore center Alou Keita. The Iowa City Regina product has given the team an inside presence and scored 23-points in the loss to the Hawkeyes. Davis says Keita is a willing worker who is very coachable with a great pair of hands and a great attitude. Sophomore forward Klayton Korver scored 18 points in Tuesday’s loss and says after getting blown out at Iowa State last week the Bulldogs showed some improvement. Korver says it shows while they’re young, they can still play with anyone.Colorado State is 3-2 and the Rams won last year’s matchup with Drake in Des Moines.
