Dubuque County Sheriff seeks help in identifying remains

December 7, 2004 By admin

The Dubuque County Sheriff is asking for help in determining the identity of human remains found in the county. The Sheriff was called out Saturday on the report of human remains found in a remote area near Sherill. The body had been exposed to the elements for an undetermined amount of time, making identification difficult. They have been able to determine the remains are those of an adult caucasion male. The remains have been sent to the state medial examiner to try and determine a cause of death. The sheriff is asking anyone with information on the identity of the person to contact his office.
