Remains may be missing Guthrie County man

December 7, 2004 By admin

The mystery of a missing Guthrie County man may have been solved in far northwestern Iowa. A hunter found human remains on private property south of Westfield, near Five Ridge Prairie on Sunday. The Plymouth County Sheriff says the skeletal remains indicate the body had been there a long time. Pathologists in Sioux City are analyzing the remains. The remains have not been identified, nor has the cause of death. The sheriff’s office has been investigating the disappearance of 64-year-old Gerald Yenzer of Panora, who was reported missing on July 25th of last year. His pickup truck was parked in Five Ridge Prairie and he hadn’t been heard from since July 21st.
