Iowa guard Adam Haluska will make his first appearance against his former team when the Hawkeyes host Iowa State on Friday night. The Carroll native began his career at I-S-U but transferred after the controversial exit of former coach Larry Eustachy following the 2003 season. Hawkeye coach Steve Alford says they’ll talk a little about it, but he says it’s nice that the first appearance is in their building. Haluska is averaging 12 and-a-half points per game and Alford is confident the situation won’t distract him. He says a lot of it depends on the individual, but he says they try each game to focus on the opponent on hand. He says that’s sometimes easier said than done when you have a history with another school. The Hawkeyes are 7-1 and 17th ranked after a 76-73 win over UNI. The Cyclones are 4-1 aftetr a victory over 19th ranked Virginia.
