The Iowa Hawkeye women moved to 7-0 on the season with a 78-72 win over Marquette in Iowa City. After a slow start the Hawkeyes took command before holding off a couple of Marquette rallies in the second half.Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says it was a good Marquette team that they just couldn’t put away. She says she was pleased with her team’s rebounding, offensively and deffensively for the game. Johanna Solverson led the Hawks with 21-points, including four of eight from three point range. Iowa fell behind at the outset seven to nothing but rallied to build a 41-32 lead at the break. She says they responded pretty well after being down for the first time this year. She says Johanna responded well, hitting some key shots. The Hawkeyes put their unbeaten record on the line Friday night at Creighton.
