The Clarke College men’s basketball basketball team has its bags packed and ready for a long trip. The Crusaders play at Edgewood College tonight and will make the long trip on Wednesday to the island of Aruba. Clarke College coach Jon Davison. Davison says every two years they try to take the team on a major trip. Two years ago, they went to Hawaii. Four years ago, they went to Greece and Italy. This year, it’s Aruba, which is 17 miles from Venezula. “We’re definitely getting close to the equator and the temperature’s going to be very hot,” Davison says. The team will play three games, all at night and all outdoors. Davison who says there will be plenty of fun mixed in. Davison says the island is only 20 miles long and six miles wide, and the “beach will look mighty fine.” Clarke is off to its best start ever with a 6-2 record after a loss at Northwest Missouri State on Sunday.
