Drake returns to action against Southern Utah

The Drake Bulldogs return to action after final exams with a visit to Southern Utah. Drake is 2-4 and has been idle since an 82-54 win over Western Illinois. The Bulldogs beat Southern Utah last year but coach Tom Davis says they face a much better team, tonight. He says they’re more athletic and just added another 6-10 player who became eligible.Drake’s press forced numerous Southern Utah turnovers in last year’s matchup in Des Moines, but Davis expects Southern Utah to make fewer mistakes at home. He says your confidence level is greater when you’re on your own turf. And he says Southern Utah has added some quickness.Southern Utah is 5-3.
