An 11-hour weekend standoff in central Iowa ended with no shots fired. A standoff between Marshalltown police and a man in a house with a gun ended Sunday afternoon around 1:30. The incident began early Sunday morning about 2:30 when police got a call that a man had barricaded himself inside the house. Police tried to contact the man. Eventually, a SWAT team entered the house and found the gunman asleep. He’s identified as Bo Severa, in his early 20s. He was taken to a medical facility for evaluation.
