After guiding Miami of Ohio to a 13-1 record last year Ben Roethlisberger has made a big splash this season as a rookie with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Josh Betts took over at Miami and threw for more than 32-hundred yards and 22 touchdowns in leading the Redhawks to an 8-4 mark. He says it was an up and down season with some line changes and injuries and he says it’s been a battle to overcome the troubles and make it to the MAC championship game and a bowl game.Betts says Roethlisberger’s success and the notoriety for the school has not put any added pressure on this team. He says the pressure’s brought by him and his teammates than from anybody else.Betts says the Cyclone defense will provide a challenge, as he says they’re a physical team that’s done a good job of holding down the other team’s offense.
