Two fugitives captured in central Iowa yesterday were in court this morning. The two South Dakota men who escaped from the Beadle County, South Dakota, jail earlier this week, attacked a Union County woman, and stole a Clarke County pickup truck made their initial appearance in court this morning. 24-year-old Justin Mynatt was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of psuedoephedrine, and controlled substance violation. Mynatt is being held in the Polk County jail. 30-year-old Jason Heasley was charged with controlled substance violation, and two counts of possession of controlled substance precursor. Both are being held on 149-thousand-500-dollar bond. Additional charges against the men are possible at this time. Both men are scheduled to have their preliminary hearing on January 24th at the Polk County courthouse.
