As investigation continues into a weekend crash involving a truck and a building, the owner says it’s not the first time it’s happened. Oakville’s a small town near the eastern border of Iowa about halfway between Burlington and Muscatine. And Minnie Wallace, who owns the Handee Dandee convenience store there, says it seems to be in the path of trouble. Exactly one year earlier, a young woman drove a car through the front of her shop, taking out the door. Friday night it was just after two in the morning when a pickup came crashing through the front window and took out part of the brick wall. It shoved the store’s counter up against the back wall and when Louisa County deputies arrived all they saw were the skid marks where the truck had left. But they found it, following a trail of debris down Highway 99 to a ditch where they arrested the man inside. Jamie Woods was charged with drunk driving and having a weapon under the seat. Damage to the building and the truck total more than 10-thousand dollars.
