Two top-ranked girls’ teams meet

A most intriguing girls basketball match-up takes place this Saturday as the top ranked team in class 4A Ankeny plays host to Grundy Center, the top ranked team in class 2A.Grundy center coach Al Jones says the game was scheduled after Cedar Falls NU High decided not to field a varsity team. Jones says the Athletic Union allowed the other schools to play an extra game to fill their schedule.Jones says the team is looking forward to the challenge of playing the three-time 4-A champs and he says it’s a great opportunity. Jones says there will be a lot of talent on the court.It will be the fourth game of the week for Grundy Center.
