Iowa will get a moment of fame on a popular televion program. It may have started during last year’s caucuses, when the Dean campaign brought Martin Sheen to Iowa. The actor plays the president, Jeb Bartlett, on the hit program West Wing. Now the show’s producers have told owners of the Hamburg Inn in Iowa City that they’ll do an episode that features the establishment’s coffee-bean caucus in a fictional setting. Producers say they won’t film on location but will build a replica of the college-town coffee house to film the episode in a sound stage.
