An Audubon County teen is being ordered to apologize for his role in a high-speed police chase last November. During his sentencing earlier this month, 18-year old Kevin Lange was instructed by District Court Judge James Richards to provide both a written and personal apology to Audubon County Deputy Corey Larsen, for leading the deputy on a chase at speeds in excess of 90-miles per hour down county gravel roads. The pursuit ended when Lange pulled into a farm drive, in an attempt to hide from the deputy. The judge originally charged the teen with aggravated misdemeanor eluding, but those charges were eventually plea-bargained down to misdemeanor eluding. Lange was also ordered to serve a 48-hour jail sentence and to pay a 500-dollar fine plus 110-dollars in court costs.
