An eastern Iowa soldier who was injured in Iraq will likely be back in the United States by this weekend. Family members have been told that 23-year-old Virgil March will finish his recovery at a hospital in Texas. The army sergeant from Hopkinton was hit in the neck with shrapnel Sunday night while working as a sniper in a high combat zone. March is currently being treated at a German hospital, and his mother says March’s condition is improving. Two members of the March family are currently serving overseas. Virgil’s brother, Dennis, is also on active duty in Iraq.
