Frank Lloyd Wright hotel is up for sale

April 8, 2005 By admin

A near-century-old Mason City hotel that was created by the world’s most famous architect is being showcased on one of the Internet’s most popular websites. The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Park Inn Hotel is now listed on e-Bay for the world to see. Mason City officials decided to place the Park Inn on e-Bay to hopefully grab the attention of a Wright enthusiast to save what is believed to be the last remaining Wright-designed hotel in the world. The list price on the website is ten-MILLION dollars, but there is no bidding involved, as the city just wants to find someone interested in restoring the structure. The e-Bay ad contains several current and past photographs of the building, which originally opened in 1910.
