Cedar Rapids murder suspect caught in Wyoming

June 17, 2005 By admin

A man arrested in Wyoming will be on the way back to Iowa to face murder charges. It was April fifteenth when police in Cedar Rapids called to check on a 22-year-old woman found her dead in the apartment she’d shared with a boyfriend. They said Wendy Barnes had been stabbed and bled to death. Police who wanted to talk to the boyfriend found him at a bus station in Rock Springs, Wyoming. 26-year-old Robert Stanley Davis fought extradition till Linn County prosecutors got the governor to file a warrant with the Wyoming governor, and a judge in that state has ruled all the paperwork’s in order to send Davis back to face a first-degree murder charge in Cedar Rapids.
