June 23, 2005 By admin

Seattle SuperSonics forward Nick Collison will return to his home state and make an appearance at the Iowa Hall of Pride on Sunday afternoon. The Iowa Falls native was an All-American at Kansas. Jack Lashier, director of the Hall of Pride, says Collison will sign autographs and have pictures taken from two to four Sunday. Lashier says all you have to do is pay the admission price of five dollars for adults or four dollars for students and you can meet Collison.Lashier says the Hall of Pride plans on holding similar events in the future. He says they want to bring in people like Jeff Clement and Tim Dwight, those who have gone on to be successful. Lashier says people want to meet these Iowans who grew up here and went on to fame. He says it’s a chance for these athletes to pay back the state. The Hall of Pride is located in Des Moines and is open on weekends and Tuesday through Friday.
