More search warrants issued in Evelyn Miller case

July 8, 2005 By admin

Additional search warrants have been executed involving the death of a five- year-old Floyd girl.Floyd County Attorney Marilyn Dettmer says the warrants were executed in what she terms as “an on-going intensive investigation” regarding Evelyn Miller’s death. Dettmer says agents and deputies continue to follow any leads and comb related areas for any shred of evidence that will aid them in solving the crime. Dettmer says the state medical examiner’s office has not concluded its autopsy findings, with all other relevant evidence being delivered to the Division of Criminal Investigation lab to be analyzed for further review by investigators. It’s believed Miller’s body was found Wednesday night in the Cedar River between Floyd and Charles City after Miller disappeared from her family’s apartment last Friday morning.
