Fayette man charged with kidnapping, sexual abuse

July 12, 2005 By admin

A 24-year-old northeast Iowa man is charged with abducting and sexually abusing a teenage victim. George Drips of Fayette was taken into custody and charged with first-degree kidnapping and third-degree sexual abuse. Drips was arrested after the Fayette County Sheriff and Fayette Police Department investigated an incident on July 4th in which Drips had taken a 14-year-old from a park in Fayette, drover to a wooded area outside the city and committed a sexual abuse. Drips was arrested Friday on the sexual abuse charge and after officers compiled further evidence, the kidnapping charge was filed Monday. Drips is being held in the Fayette County jail in West Union.
